Tiger
III Books is a
partnership that grew out of the experiences that Tim Curley and Neil
Stewart
had when writing and publishing their own first military history.
Our goals then, embodied today in our
company, were to raise the bar for military history books by taking
advantage
of technology changes that allow bigger, better books that use high
quality
materials and deliver color content on each page at affordable
prices. On this website you will find the books we
have published as part of Tiger III Publishing, the division of Tiger
III Books
for developing and publishing new books.
In addition you will find other books we think noteworthy.

Lt. Col.
(ret.) Timothy
J. Curley is a retired US Air Force officer and
son of a US Army officer who served in World War 2.
Tim came naturally to
an interest in military
history and, with souvenirs of his father's service in Africa, Sicily,
Italy,
and in the Korean War, also began to collect militaria.
Tim and his family
settled in California after
his own service. While there Tim finally
met his long time correspondent and fellow collector Neil Stewart.
Several years later Tim and Neil set out to write their first book, Waffenrock: parade uniforms of the
german army. This book grew from their
dissatisfaction
with the largely small format, black and white books that then
dominated
reference books. From the experience
gained in both publishing and marketing their successful books, Tiger
III
Books
was born. |

Neil G
Stewart is a retired
business executive and also a son of a US Army career officer who
served in
Africa, New Guinea, Philippines, and Japan in World War 2 and later in
Vietnam. When an old footlocker was
found in a storage shed at his grandparents, a young Neil came into
possession
of his father's souvenirs of the fighting in Tunisia. These
relics led to a renewed interest in
military history and a life-long passion for things military.
Along the way, Tim and Neil began a
correspondence that led to their first meeting when Neil's career led
him to
Arizona. Now, years later, retired, Tim
and Neil continue their friendship and partnership as the founders of
Tiger III
Books. Their latest collaboration as
authors is Bulls-eye:
german army
marksmanship lanyards and tank destruction badges. |
