TIM
CURLEY - Lt. Col. (ret.) Timothy J. Curley is a retired US Air
Force
officer and son of a US Army officer who served in World War 2. Tim came naturally to an interest in military
history and, with souvenirs of his father's service in Africa,
Sicily,
Italy,
and in the Korean War, also began to collect militaria.
Together with Neil
Stewart, Tim has
collaborated in writing two books; Bulls-eye:
german army marksmanship lanyards and
tank destruction badges and
Waffenrock: parade uniforms of the german army.

MIKE
DAVIS - Michael Davis retired from professional life after
serving for twenty five years as a major account representative for
international IT service providers. From an early age Mike was
interested in history and after having been given a few souvenirs from
an American veteran, began collecting items pertaining to the German
military in the late 1960s. At university Mike studied
history and received a Masters of Public Administration Degree.
Today Mike operates VirtualGrenadier.com,
an informational and
commercial web site devoted to documenting the appearance of the German
soldier 1939-1945. Mike is currently preparing a PRIMER FOR WAR
(2010).

CARSTEN
FRIES - Carsten H. Fries grew up bilingually in the United
States and
Germany.
Following completion of undergraduate and graduate studies at the
Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universtität in Munich, he worked for several
years as a
book publishing production editor and manager in New York and
Washington, DC.
In 1993, he joined the US Navy and was commissioned as an Ensign
(Special Duty
- Intelligence) that November. Carsten spent most of his service
overseas
- in Italy, England, and Japan - and participated in the direct
intelligence
support for a number of contingency operations in the former
Yugoslavia. He left the Navy from his last assignment as a Lieutenant
Commander to spend more time at home and to work as a freelance
translator, writer, and editor; and has enjoyed an entirely
different type of daily excitement with his young
family. Carsten has
been interested in German World War II militaria since age 12, when he
acquired
an army mountain troops' Edelweiss cap insignia for the vast sum
of $2.95. Golden-Yellow
on Field Gray is Carsten's debut book with Tiger III
Books.

FRANK
HANCOCK - As the clouds of war gathered in 1930s Europe, a
young boy, Frank Hancock, was living a typical life in depression era
Baltimore. Soon both the Army and boy
would grow and intersect. The conjoining
of the two is told by Frank Hancock as he finds himself caught up in
the
burgeoning war. In it he introduces you
to the 100th Infantry Division as he finds his teenage self first a
trainee and
then an improbable machine gunner fighting in France and Germany. In
March, 1946 Frank Hancock was again a
civilian at home ready to begin the rest of his life.
Now retired from a
successful postwar career,
Frank, relates his war time experiences in his superb memoir: AN
IMPROBABLE MACHINE GUNNER (2010).

RALPH
A. HEINZ - Ralph A. Heinz
bought his first of many military rifles in 1952 at the age of 8,
eventually
owning guns authenticated as having been used at Gettysburg and the Little Big Horn.
With five
family members serving in WWII, his interest in the war started in the
late
1950s when he began running ads buying war souvenirs from veterans in NE Ohio at the age of 14. Enlisting as a
paratrooper in
1968, he later became a Special Forces officer. When he got to Viet Nam, the 101st Airborne had taken
a lot of
casualties in the Ashau
Valley
and airborne
officers were being sent there to replace them. At
age 27, he served as a
Recon Platoon Leader in the 101st Abn. Div. in
the triple canopy jungles of I
Corps, Viet Nam.
Ralph's
large Indian Wars battle oil paintings
have appeared on over 30 covers, on A&E, and one hung in the
Pentagon.
Ralph is completing his forthcoming comprehensive book, Under
a Copper Sky, for
Tiger III Books.

STEVEN
M. ANDROSKO - Steven M. Androsko has been interested for
his
entire life in military history and memorabilia of all ages, with a
focus on WWII. Steve is interested in anything related to German Panzer
and particularly Pionier (combat engineers) from 1914 thru 1945.
Steve's specialized knowledge has been recognized by his
numerous
contributions to several authors and historians own
works. He is
employed as a Product Engineer. Steve is currently writing his first
work for Tiger III Books, ARMORED
ENGINEERS: THE STORY OF
PANZER-PIONIERE BATAILLON 16 (2011).

NEIL
STEWART - Neil G Stewart is a retired
business executive and also a son of a US Army career officer who
served in
Africa, New Guinea, Philippines, and Japan in World War 2 and later in
Vietnam. When an old footlocker was
found in a storage shed at his grandparents, a young Neil came into
possession
of his father’s souvenirs of the
fighting in Tunisia. These relics led to a
renewed interest in
military history and a life-long passion for things military. Together with Tim Curley, Neil has
collaborated in writing two books: Bulls-eye:
german army marksmanship lanyards and tank destruction badges and
Waffenrock: parade uniforms of the
german
